U Rock Summer Band Camp
St. Francis Campus, Little Falls, MN
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This program is designed for everyone who has always wanted to be in a band! "U Rock" is for guitarists, bass players, drummers, keyboards and vocalists. Other instruments such as violins are also welcome to apply. Students will learn the basics of being in a band; then everyone will be divided into their own bands. The conclusion of camp will be a great concert featuring all the students and the faculty! The types of bands formed will be based on the interest of each player - rock, pop, country, hip hop, anything is possible.

U-Rock will run two weekends in July: July 20-22 and July 28-29. Class times will run Friday July 20, from 5-7 p.m. the other days 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

This July, St. Francis Music Center, Little Falls, is offering U ROCK Summer Camp for middle and high school students. Guitarists, drummers, bassists, vocals, keyboards, and other musicians who want to form a band are all invited to attend. Participants don’t need a lot of experience on an instrument, just some of the basics.

Each band will pick a name and songs they’d like to play. The remainder of the camp is spent learning the music and performance tips, having band pictures taken and getting ready to perform.

Led by Greg Langlois, the instructors will all be musicians with experience in professional bands. The final concert will be outdoors Wednesday, Aug. 1, as part of the Green Fair Folk Festival. The concert will be free and open to the public.

Financial aid is also available for all who need it.

For more information or to sign up, call the Music Center at (320) 632-0637, or stop in at 116 8th Avenue S.E. in Little Falls.
